के बारे में Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia

The Indonesian Blockchain Association (Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia, or ABI) is a leading nonprofit organization founded on January 18, 2018, by six pioneering companies in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors. Its founding members include Indodax, Pundi X, Luno, and others who recognized the need for a unified effort to promote blockchain technology across industries in Indonesia.

ABI's mission is to raise awareness of blockchain's potential and ensure a constructive regulatory environment for its development. It works closely with the government, regulators, educational institutions, and private sectors to foster understanding, innovation, and responsible use of blockchain. Through strategic collaborations with regulatory bodies, such as Indonesia's Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti), ABI advocates for forward-thinking policies that encourage technological growth while maintaining investor and consumer protections.

Education is a key focus of ABI’s efforts. The organization frequently hosts seminars, hackathons, and campaigns such as “Crypto Literacy Month,” which reached over 10,000 participants across the country. ABI also partners with universities and companies to deliver blockchain training and awareness programs, ensuring the Indonesian workforce is ready for Web3 innovations.

ABI actively participates in international events like Singapore FinTech Festival, TOKEN2049, Money20/20 Asia, and organizes its own conferences such as Indonesia Blockchain Conference and Utopia Blok:verse. These events help position Indonesia as an emerging blockchain hub in Southeast Asia.

Membership in ABI has grown rapidly—from six original members to over 40 companies by 2022, including exchanges, blockchain startups, academic institutions, and media. The association serves as a professional forum for networking, policy input, and ecosystem development.

Overall, the Indonesian Blockchain Association plays a crucial role in accelerating the growth of blockchain in the country through education, advocacy, regulatory input, and industry partnerships. Its work supports Indonesia’s ambition to become a global leader in decentralized innovation.
